A New Direction For The Future Of This Project |
As I continue moving forward with the Cross Walk Comic project, I feel the Lord guiding me to shift my focus. This shift will be towards creating comic books and away from the single-panel monthly comics / individual illustrations I have been producing, atleast for now. Creating comic books was one of the initial ideas put on my heart when the project was started in the spring of 2023. But it had been many years since I was consistently drawing and I needed to get back into a rhythm. At the start of this project I wasn’t ready and now I feel that I am. While I’ve always enjoyed thumbing through comic books since childhood, I’ve never created a professional one. This will be a learning process for me involving writing, conceptualizing, illustrating, designing and producing. As I work through creating my first comic book, my plan is to share some of that process along the way via blog posts and videos. Mixed within those blogs and videos I will be sharing Gods Word as well!
I have completed writing the first story script for the upcoming series. I don't want to give away story details which is why some things have been blacked out in the sample image above. This will be a short, introductory comic that I plan to start drawing early next year. After completing this, future comics will be closer to the standard length of a comic book. In the meantime, conceptualizing characters and environments is the next task. Stay tuned and check back for updates!
